La Foire gourmande ATNEO promotes the regional agri-food industry. It comes back yearly to develop the consumers’ taste for local products, as some 75,000 delicious food samples can be savoured. In the era of globalization, la Foire gourmande fosters local eating by displaying specialties and innovative regional products (ex. Le boeuf à l’herbe de VitaliPré or la Salade de Coeurs de quenouilles, de boutons de marguerite et de concombre de la Corporation Gaboury).

Furthermore, networking with the Ontario part of Temiskaming brings an interesting side to the event as it widens the variety of agri-food products and raises awareness of a larger group of people about these products. Lake Timiskaming straddles the Quebec-Ontario boundary, making la Foire gourmande a happening that people from both sides of the border can enjoy!
