THE 10^TH FOIRE GOURMANDE DE L’ABITIBI-TÉMISCAMINGUE
 ET DU NORD-EST ONTARIEN PROGRAMMING OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED!

Ville-Marie, June 7, 2011– La Foire gourmande de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue et du Nord-Est ontarien　programming was unveiled this morning at Restaurant Eugène, in Ville-Marie. Co-chairs of the event, Denis Nolet and Normand Olivier, set the table for this 10^th edition! 　

Again this year, La Foire is being held in front of majestic Lake Temiskaming. In 2011, a very special evening will outline the 10th anniversary of La Foire gourmande, on Thursday, August 11, as a mechoui will be served on the shore of beautiful Lake Temiskaming. Local artists and entertainers will be part of the celebration.

Some fifty exhibitors are expected during the 3-day festival. This year, La Foire is proud to welcome ten agri-food producers taking part in this event for the first time! Also new this year, L’Union des producteurs agricoles will have a stand on site and will support local entrepreneurs in marketing their products. On Saturday night, in the church basement, the team of Origine Nord-Ouest will serve a 5-service gourmet dinner at the Discovery tent.

La Foire is much honoured that Ms. Michelle Gélinas and Ms. Emily Richards have accepted to be co-honorary chairs of the 2011 edition. They both have a great reputation as culinary experts and they are known for their love of what they do.

As usual, music lovers will be enthused by concerts from renowned and diversified artists: Andrea Lindsay, Les Respectables, Alfa Rococo, Pépé goes français, as much as they will be thrilled to discover and savour the talent of local artists such as Mother Nature and Chantale Archambault.
